Overflow pipe Ø40 mm (L=180 mm) KZ-Z-180 – how to choose the right one
The KZ-Z-180 overflow pipe has a diameter of Ø40 mm and a length of 180 mm, and it is made of AISI-304 stainless steel. It is the shortest item in its series, intended for shallow sink bowls and drop-in hand wash basins.
For the selection you measure the distance from the bottom of the bowl to the edge of the overflow hole, not the external height of the sink. The worktop, the upstands and the substructure can add a few centimetres, which with such a short component change the result completely.
Stainless steel was chosen with the working environment in mind: constant contact with water, grease and cleaning chemicals. The surface does not absorb deposits, so cleaning comes down to a wipe during periodic dismantling.

Ask a questionHow is the required length measured?
From the bottom of the bowl to the lower edge of the overflow hole, inside the sink. That dimension decides the choice, not the external height of the housing.
What happens if the pipe is too short?
Water will start running out through the overflow before the bowl is filled, so the station loses part of its usable volume. A pipe that is too long, in turn, will not sit correctly in its seat.
Will Ø40 mm replace a Ø48 or Ø50 mm pipe?
No. A difference of a few millimetres translates into how tightly it seats, which is why the diameter is read off the component being removed or measured in the seat with a vernier calliper.
