Overflow pipe Ø50 mm (L=230 mm) KZ-230 – how to choose the right one
The KZ-230 overflow pipe has a diameter of Ø50 mm and a length of 230 mm, in AISI-304 stainless steel. It suits a standard bowl around 250 mm deep, and the wide cross-section gives a margin of throughput.
Ø50 mm is the largest diameter among the overflow pipes here. The difference against Ø40 mm in cross-section alone is clear, so such an overflow takes the excess away faster with a hard-running tap.
A wider component also silts up with deposits less often. Grease settles on the wall regardless of diameter, but in a narrower pipe it restricts the bore sooner and forces cleaning earlier.

At the same length it takes away more water per unit of time and silts up more slowly. The choice is made by the hole in the bowl in any case, not by user preference.
How often should the inside of the pipe be cleaned?
Where grease is involved, best at the periodic inspection of the drainage run, together with the trap. Deposits build up from the bottom, so the check starts at the base.
Does the component need a seal?
The way it seats depends on the design of the seat in the particular bowl. If there was a seal in the run being removed, we check its condition at the replacement and source it separately.
