Self-regulating heating cable, rectangular – various models GK-CSC – how to choose the right one
The GK-CSC is a self-regulating heating cable with a rectangular cross-section of 10.5 × 5.5 mm and an output of 10–30 W/m at 230 V. The operating temperature range is from -40°C to +85°C, and the smallest permissible bending radius is 30 mm.
Two millimetres less width than in the round version sounds like a detail, but when routing the cable in a door frame or under a trim strip it is often the boundary between fitting in and having to modify the casing.
The narrower profile is paid for in the output ceiling: 30 W/m instead of 40 W/m. If the heat balance of the run stays within that limit, the choice of profile comes down to the space available.

That depends on the heat balance of the particular route. If the calculation comes out higher, the same family offers the GK-ASC with a ceiling of 40 W/m – at a correspondingly larger cross-section.
Do both self-regulating cables share the same hardware?
Yes. The GK-A/CSCK1 and GK-A/CSCK10 sets are described for both models in this family.
