Silicone heating cable, rectangular, constant wattage (without braid) – various models GK-CPCA – how to choose the right one
The GK-CPCA is a silicone constant wattage heating cable with a rectangular cross-section, supplied without a braid. The output covers the 15–80 W/m range, the standard supply is 230 V, and the cable works from -60°C to +200°C.
The flat cross-section changes the way it contacts the heated component: the cable lies against it on its side rather than along a line, so it is easier to stick or press onto a gutter, pipe or frame. With a round version the same effect has to be forced by the fixing.
The rectangular version starts at a higher output threshold than the round one and also ends higher – 80 W/m is the upper limit of the whole constant wattage family in catalogue form. The reels here are slightly longer at the bottom of the scale: 150, 250, 400 or 500 m.

Because of the contact with the surface. The flat side gives a wider contact area, which matters when heating panels, gutters and trays, where the cable is fixed with tape or adhesive.
How far does the output range of this model extend?
From 15 to 80 W/m. The round versions start lower, at 10 W/m, but end at 60 W/m, so where a higher output per metre is required this profile is the one chosen.
Is there a separate connection kit for this version?
Yes, the GK-CPCAK. The set serves only the braidless rectangular cables in this family.
