Waterproof silicone heating cable – various models GK-CDLA – how to choose the right one
The GK-CDLA silicone heating cable is a waterproof version with a diameter of Ø5.5 mm and a length from 2 to 7 m. The output is selected within 5–100 W/m, the standard supply is 230 V, and the operating temperature falls between -60°C and +200°C.
This model is ordered differently from the rest of the family: the split between the heated section and the cold sections is decided at the ordering stage. The manufacturer therefore supplies a finished item with a fixed geometry rather than metreage to be cut to size.
The consequence is a practical one – the cable has to be drawn out before purchase. You need to know how many metres actually heat and how many form the run to the junction box, because once made nothing can be moved.

Not in the way the reeled versions can. The lengths of the heated section and of the cold sections are specified at the ordering stage, so the geometry is created at the factory.
