Plate scraper KP-SK – how to choose the right one
Plate scraper KP-SK is a stainless steel item of washing-up room equipment, used for scraping food scraps off dishes before they are loaded into the dishwasher. It works at the first point in the run, where dirty plates are taken in.
Without this step every washing-up room pays the same price: the scraps go into the dishwasher, block the filters and come back onto clean dishes with the recirculated water. The result is rewashing, that is double the time and double the consumption of chemicals.
Stainless steel is a material of necessity here. The tool is in constant contact with greasy scraps and with the chemicals used to disinfect the station, and at the same time it has to take being struck by the edge of a plate several hundred times a day.

Because a hand and cutlery do it more slowly and less thoroughly. A scraper cleans a plate in one movement, without bending over the bin and without splashing scraps around the station.
Where should the scraper be positioned?
Between the place where dirty crockery is set down and the dishwasher loading table, with the waste bin directly beneath it. Every extra step in that sequence slows the whole washing-up room down.
Why stainless steel rather than plastic?
Plastic is scratched by the edges of plates, and grease settles in the scratches. Stainless steel keeps a smooth surface despite constant contact with ceramics and chemicals.
