Trap 1 1/4" KP-511 – how to choose the right one
KP-511 is a trap with a 1 1/4" connection, made of polypropylene with a polyethylene nut. It is used to drain condensate in refrigerated cabinets and refrigeration units, and AiFO recommends it for use with the KP-CC-40x80 drain.
The trap is 72 mm high, so it works where the cabinet design calls for a low drain assembly. With a suitably designed body it can be placed in the space reserved for insulation, so that it does not protrude beyond the outline of the unit and is less exposed to damage during transport and installation.
The nut can be unscrewed, which makes periodic cleaning and replacement of the trap easier. When designing the enclosure, provide service access to it and keep the insulation continuous around it.
