Trap KP-510 – how to choose the right one
KP-510 is a trap made of black polyethylene, with a polypropylene nut, used for draining water from refrigeration units and appliances.
What is interesting here is the reversal of material roles compared with the KP-511 model: there the body was polypropylene and the nut polyethylene. In practice both arrangements give similar resistance; they differ in the stiffness of the individual parts.
Black polyethylene has another feature worth noting – coloured throughout, it does not change appearance when scratched, and this is a part that is unscrewed and put down on the floor during every cleaning.

Polyethylene or ABS in the nut?
The polyethylene nut is less hard than the ABS one, so it deforms more under clamping force, but in return it does not crack. With frequent unscrewing of the system, the soft plastic can be more convenient in use.
