The 1 1/4 inch tubular trap is the only item with this connection among the traps in this group. The manufacturer describes the construction as chrome-plated brass, although the catalogue parameters give plastic.
An inch and a quarter is found in smaller and older bowls, for which the same range provides the KZ-501 drain. The two items together form a set of matching size.
When upgrading such a station, it is worth settling on one size and keeping to it throughout the run. Mixing 1 1/4 with 1 1/2 ends in adapters, which are an extra place for a leak.
