Stainless shelf rail KP-E-I (1500 mm) – how to choose the right one
The KP-E-I rail, 1500 mm long, spreads shelf adjustment over a metre and a half of height. It is made of AISI-304 stainless steel and takes the KP-D-2 and KP-F-2 brackets.
This size fits a situation where the bottom of the unit is already taken up. In a cold room, pallets or transport containers stand at the bottom; in a shop shelving unit, it is the plinth and the condensing unit, with shelves starting only above them. A full two metres would then be half unused.
A longer rail means more possible levels without drilling again. If the range changes seasonally, spare spacing above the last shelf can be worth more than the saving from a shorter section.

Ask a question1500 or 2000 mm, how to choose?
You measure from the bottom of the lowest planned shelf to the highest and add a margin for future rearrangements. A rail sticking out above the last level does no harm, but adds nothing either.
Can rails of different lengths be combined on one vertical?
They can, but at the join the spacing of the notches rarely lines up evenly. If a shelf needs to land exactly at that point, it is better to take one longer section.
How should the rail be fixed to a sandwich panel in a cold room?
A screw going only into the foam will not hold a loaded shelf. The fixing has to transfer the weight onto the panel's facing or onto the structure behind it.
