Stainless shelf rail KP-E-I (2000 mm) – how to choose the right one
The KP-E-I shelf rail in the 2000 mm version spans the height of a whole shelving unit in a single section. Made of AISI-304 stainless steel, it guides the KP-D-2 and KP-F-2 brackets from the base level all the way to the top shelf.
The advantage of a single section is continuous spacing. A shelving unit built from two shorter rails has a point halfway up where the notch spacing breaks, and exactly there a shelf cannot be set at will. With a two-metre profile, planning all the levels happens on a single scale.
Two metres is, however, a component that has to be delivered straight and screwed to a true wall. The longer the profile, the more fixing points are needed so it does not flex between them under loaded shelves.

Ask a questionDoes a two-metre rail need more fixing points?
Yes. A long profile flexes between supports and can deform under loaded shelves, which is why the spacing of the fixings should be tighter than for a metre-long section.
Is it better to take one 2000 mm rail or two 1000 mm ones?
One section gives continuous adjustment and less work during installation. Two shorter ones are easier to carry in and to use to work around obstructions on the wall.
Up to what height is it worth stacking heavy goods?
The limitation is the staff's work, not the rail itself. Crates and liquid packaging are kept in the lower half, with lighter items going higher up.
