Waste chute (stainless steel) DZ-OPNKZD – how to choose the right one
The DZ-OPNKZD waste chute in AISI-304 stainless steel is set into a 193 × 346 mm opening and takes waste that the other models in this family will not let through. The cut-out is nearly twice as wide as on the basic versions.
This size is designed for whole sets: a tray with scraps, a cup and packaging go in one movement, without separating the waste stream. On returns after the lunch period this shortens the handling of a single guest more than any other part of the line.
The price paid for throughput is structural. An opening with a side of over thirty centimetres cuts a sizeable piece out of the board and, with thin materials, requires reinforcement from underneath – which is easy to forget at the drawing stage.

It can, but with an opening this size the cut edges have to be sealed and the board supported. The manufacturer does not state a minimum thickness, so the construction is determined by the installer.
How much waste will an opening of these dimensions take?
Throughput depends on the container underneath, because the part itself is only an aperture. A sensible choice is a bin with a volume matching the number of meals between emptyings.
