Lock (35 mm) KP-AC-1493 – how to choose the right one
KP-AC-1493 is a 35 mm lock with a zinc-plated steel housing, intended for doors or drawers. It is the largest item in the KP-AC-149x family.
The largest size reaches where shorter locks will not do – into thicker leaves and faces with an added layer. It is the only value in this set above thirty millimetres.
Zinc plating instead of stainless steel is a deliberate way of limiting cost on a large body. In dry rooms it makes no difference, but under constant damp the choice of material starts to determine service life.
