Lock KP-AC-70171A – how to choose the right one
KP-AC-70171A is a quarter-turn lock with a silicone seal and a body in AISI-304 stainless steel, opened with a key from the A line. It is one of six numbers in this series.
The seal has a practical dimension during daily cleaning. Water running down the front stops at the ring instead of entering the mounting hole, so the inside of the lock stays dry for longer.
Silicone hardens over time and loses its grip, and the data sheet does not say after what period it is worth inspecting. On intensively washed equipment it is worth adding a visual check of the seal to the periodic inspection.

Can the lock be washed under pressure?
The data sheet neither permits nor forbids such washing. The seal suggests resistance to splashing, but a pressurised jet is a different load and requires confirmation.
