Lock (different keys) KP-G5VL-D – how to choose the right one
KP-G5VL-D is a lock for doors or drawers with keys differing for each unit, in a zinc-plated steel housing. The universal-key version is listed under the code KP-G5VL.
There are two ranges built to the same scheme: KP-2038 and KP-G5VL, both available with a universal key or with different keys. They differ in housing finish: KP-G5VL is galvanised, while KP-2038 comes galvanised, chrome-plated or nickel-plated.
The zinc-plated housing makes this lock better suited to dry rooms. Where the fitting is in constant contact with moisture, stainless versions are a better choice.
How to match the handle to the door thickness and settle the key system – we explained it in the selection guide for this category.
Where it works
- Cabinets assigned to individual people
- Furniture units in office and staff rooms
- Equipment where access is to be personal
- Extending an installation based on the KP-G5VL family
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Have not found your answer? Give the door thickness and the locking method – we will select the handle and the lock.
Ask a questionWill the keys for successive KP-G5VL-D units differ?
Yes – that is the point of this version: KP-G5VL-D is a lock with different keys, unlike KP-G5VL with one universal key.
Which index should be chosen when some of the units are to be on a shared key?
The order can be split between KP-G5VL-D and KP-G5VL, because they are the same family. It is only worth stating up front how many pieces go into each group.
