This end cap closes the end of a square profile and leaves an M10, M12 or M16 thread in it. It is welded into the profile, so once fitted it forms a single whole with the structure – it cannot be pushed out or lost in transport.
Welding requires access to the profile before installation and equipment for stainless steel. This is a solution for the maker of the structure, not for a correction carried out on site at the customer.
The three thread sizes correspond to three popular stem sizes. When ordering, both the thread and the profile dimension are given, because only those two values together indicate the right model.

Not in this version – it is intended to be welded in, and that is how it achieves a permanent joint with the profile. If welding is not part of the process, the more appropriate choice is the plastic counterpart, which enters the profile mechanically.
Which thread size should be chosen?
The one that matches the stem that is to go into it. The end cap is the threaded side here, so it is the screw-in component that dictates the choice among M10, M12 and M16.
