Ball catch ZT-LB410 – how to choose the right one
ZT-LB410 is a ball catch made of nickel-plated steel. Together with plate ZT-LB4101 it forms a set in which the ball on the catch side enters a recess on the mating side.
Compared with brass fittings, this version wins on price and core hardness, and loses on the coating's resistance to mechanical damage. Scratched nickel exposes the steel, so in places rubbed by trolleys a body with nothing to expose does better.
It is a fitting for units in intensive but not brutal use: back-of-house cabinets, technical fronts, service doors opened a few times a day.

How does it differ from the brass catches in this category?
In core and coating: here it is steel with nickel over it, there brass with chrome. Steel is cheaper and stiffer, brass takes scratching better, because there is no rust-prone material underneath.
