Magnetic catch ZT-1014 – how to choose the right one
ZT-1014 is a magnetic catch in a polyamide housing. It holds the front with no moving parts, so there is no spring and no ball that could seize or fall out.
The absence of a mechanism translates into predictability: either the fitting holds or it has to be replaced, and intermediate states in the form of a rattling spring simply do not occur. For a service team that means a simpler diagnosis and a shorter list of reasons why a front has stopped closing.
Polyamide does not corrode and stands up to washing, but it is lighter and more prone to the screw pulling out than a metal body. On heavy fronts, or doors used with a yank, a steel housing makes more sense.

Will polyamide hold a heavy front?
The limit is not the material itself but the way the screws are seated in the board. On substantial fronts a metal housing is safer, because it takes yanking better.
