Magnetic catch ZT-MAG03 – how to choose the right one
ZT-MAG03 is a magnetic catch with a polypropylene housing, intended for a mounting cut-out measuring 57.5 × 9.5 mm. It is the only item in this group with the cut-out dimension stated, so the selection can be verified by trial fitting, without sending an enquiry.
A recessed construction changes the way it is fitted. The part hides in the edge of the front instead of standing proud of the surface, so it collects no dirt and does not catch a sleeve when you reach inside.
The condition, however, is a precisely routed cut-out. If the opening is too wide the fitting moves about, and if it is too narrow the pressure deforms the thin plastic wall – which is why the dimension is checked before routing, not after.
