Magnetic catch ZT-W20 – how to choose the right one
ZT-W20 is a magnetic catch in zinc-plated steel with a neodymium magnet of a declared 18 kg holding force. In the catalogue it is accompanied by ZT-C20 with identical data, so the symbol decides when ordering.
Neodymium makes it possible to obtain high resistance from a small block. That matters when there is no room in the edge of the front for an elaborate fitting and the closing has to be positive – a ferrite magnet of similar action would be noticeably larger.
Zinc-plated steel places this fitting in the technical segment. It is not decorative, but it does not have to be: it is fitted where nobody sees it once the door is closed.

Ask a questionWhy neodymium rather than an ordinary magnet?
At the same force a neodymium magnet is simply smaller, which allows the fitting to be accommodated in a narrow edge. A ferrite equivalent would take more room and need a deeper recess.
Can the fitting be ordered in to an existing set?
