Toggle latch (stainless steel) KP-AC-1461 – how to choose the right one

KP-AC-1461 is a draw latch in AISI-304 stainless steel, offered in the same family as KP-AC-1460.

A tensioned mechanism has the advantage wherever something vibrates. A leaf closed under pressure does not work loose from the condensing unit running or from jolts during transport, which with fittings relying on spring resistance is by no means a given.

When choosing between items in this family, you work from the size of the mounting area and the hole spacing. A trial fit is the shortest way to decide.

How does KP-AC-1461 differ from KP-AC-1460?

Both are made of AISI-304 stainless steel and differ in design. In practice, the hole spacing and the space available on the leaf decide.

Can the mechanism be adjusted after fitting?

The degree of clamping depends mainly on the fitting geometry. A few millimetres in the position of the keeper can noticeably change the pull-in force.
