Spring catch ZT-ZS341 – how to choose the right one
ZT-ZS341 is a spring catch in phosphated steel, intended for a mounting cut-out of 12 × 8 mm. The part holds the leaf with a tensioned blade that flexes on closing and returns to its starting position.
Phosphating gives a matt, dark surface of a purely technical character. It is the finish for fittings hidden in a profile and in the edge of a board, where retaining springiness matters rather than the look of the part.
The rectangular 12 × 8 mm opening has to be prepared accurately. Too large a recess lets the fitting rotate in service, and the blade then meets the striker at a different angle from the one it was fitted at.
