Catch ZT-156 – how to choose the right one

ZT-156 is a catch in nickel-plated ZnAl alloy. The casting gives a single solid form with no joints or welds, so the fitting keeps its shape even where sideways pressure acts on it.

The nickel-plated surface has a double role here: it protects the casting and visually completes a set of fittings in one finish. On a unit where the handle, the hinge and the catch are all visible at once, that coherence is sometimes the only reason for rejecting the cheaper plastic variant.

It is worth bearing the weight in mind. A cast body weighs noticeably more than its polyamide counterpart, so with a thin board the quality of the screw seating matters.
