Weld-in flag hinge (stainless steel) ZW-02 – how to choose the right one
ZW-02 is a weld-in flag hinge made of AISI-304 stainless steel. It is a dimensional alternative to ZW-01 within the same family of fittings.
A welded hinge needs no mounting holes, so the profile keeps its full section and the joint needs no access from the inside. This is sometimes the only way to mount in closed frames.
Before a series order it is worth requesting a dimensioned drawing, so that the ZW-02 can be compared with the ZW-01 and the variant that fits the frame chosen.

Does welding change the properties of the steel around the weld?
The heat-affected zone always behaves differently from the parent material. That is why, after welding stainless steel, cleaning and passivating the joint is standard workshop practice.
