Slow-closing hinge (6.0±0.5 N*m) ZW-TRD-603 – how to choose the right one
ZW-TRD-603 is a slow-closing hinge with a torque of 6.0 ±0.5 N·m in a galvanised housing, mounted interchangeably on the left or the right side of the flap.
The 6.0 model goes to flaps that are distinctly heavier or set on a longer arm, where the middle values of the series give too little resistance. The margin to the maximum is now only one newton metre.
With a torque set this high it is worth checking not only the descent but also the force needed to open. A stronger mechanism resists in both directions, which starts to matter on a flap handled many times during a shift.

No. Too much torque makes opening harder and can stop the flap halfway through the movement instead of letting it settle gently.
How many hinges should be allowed for one flap?
The data sheet imposes no number. On wide lids two are usually fitted, but it must then be taken into account that the torques add up.
