Hinge (ZnAl) ZW-305MT – how to choose the right one

ZW-305MT is the matt variant of the ZW-305 hinge in ZnAl5 alloy, intended for doors up to 10 kg and fixed with four Ø5 mm screws.

A matt finish is usually chosen for visual reasons, but it has a practical merit too: it does not reflect spot lighting and is less conspicuous under display lighting.

Because the geometry is shared with the chrome-plated version, both indexes can be used interchangeably in the same structure. Only the mechanics are interchangeable, however, not the appearance – keep a single finish within one leaf.

Can I fit ZW-305MT in place of ZW-305?

Yes, both models have the same hole spacing and the same declared load capacity. Only the look of the fitting on the front will change.

Is matt more durable than chrome?

The manufacturer does not compare the resistance of the two finishes. The practical difference is rather that fine scratches are less visible on matt.
