The ZD-2231 is a pressure relief valve with a heating element, designed for ceiling mounting in a chamber with a volume from 75 to 5000 m3. It works at a pressure of around 100 Pa and has a built-in temperature alarm sensor.
Ceiling mounting is chosen where the walls are entirely taken up by shelving, or where a wall passage would fall somewhere exposed to trolley impacts. A valve under the ceiling is simply out of the way of traffic.
This convenience comes at the cost of service access. Inspecting a part mounted under a freezer's ceiling needs a lift or a ladder, and often fencing off the area for the duration of the work.

The manufacturer keeps the two versions as separate codes, the ZD-2230 and ZD-2231. Since the distinction is made in the catalogue, this is not a swap to make on your own.
How is condensate drained when mounted in the ceiling?
The catalogue datasheet does not describe this. It is a question to settle at the installation design stage, together with the routing of the power cables.
