Decorative screw nut KP-PC03C – how to choose the right one
KP-PC03C is a decorative screw nut made of aluminium, assigned to the KP-PC03 family. Its material differs from the chrome-plated brass used for the other metal elements in this series.
Aluminium has two consequences here. The element is light and cheap to machine, but the thread stays softer, so excessive tightening torque will strip it faster than in a brass nut.
The colour also differs. Aluminium stays matte silver, chrome gives a mirror shine – with a visible joint, the difference shows up close and is worth allowing for at the ordering stage.
