Light fitting 1255x272x45 mm KP-LCE1225 – how to choose the right one

The KP-LCE1225 light fitting, measuring 1255 × 272 × 45 mm, is built into the ceiling of a catering hood. Three G5 lamps with a combined power of 45 W give 2000 lumens of light at 5500 K, on a 100–240 V supply.

The depth of 45 mm decides whether the fitting will go in at all. Above the hood ceiling run the extract duct and the stiffening frames, so before cutting the 1215 × 202 mm opening you need to check what is on the other side of the sheet. The frame overlaps the cut-out by 20 mm on each side of the longer edge and by 35 mm on the shorter one, which leaves a margin for inaccurate cutting.

A flux of 2000 lumens spread over more than a metre of length does what ceiling lighting cannot: it lights the range from under the hood instead of casting the hood's shadow onto it. The 5500 K colour is at the same time merciless towards dirt and burn marks, which at a working station can be an advantage, while at the serving counter it is an argument for warmer light.
