Waste opening guard (black) KP-DG-3 BLACK – how to choose the right one

KP-DG-3 BLACK is a scrap hole cover made of black hardened rubber. It closes the opening in a worktop through which scraps and washing water would otherwise get into the equipment.

Hardened rubber behaves differently from soft versions: it holds its shape more firmly, so the part does not slide out under the force of a water jet. At the same time it is elastic enough to be fitted without tools.

Black is the most common and cheapest finish for rubber parts. If such parts often go missing in a given kitchen, it is worth considering a grey or coloured version, which is easier to spot on the worktop.

In the colour of the rubber: the first is black, the second grey. The manufacturer describes both as hardened rubber versions.

Does this item have a magnet for cutlery?

No, this is a version without a magnet. The function of catching metal cutlery is performed by the KP-DG71-20 version with a half-open handle.
