KP-DG7 is a scrap hole cover made of NBR rubber with a hardness of 70 ± 5 Shore A, available in seven colours: blue, yellow, green, red, black, orange and grey. This version has no magnet.
Seventy degrees on the Shore scale means an intermediate hardness – the material is not soft like a gasket, but it is not rigid like a structural plastic either. Rubber like this is pressed into the opening by hand, and then it stays in place when the worktop is rinsed.
A palette of seven colours makes sense where zone separation applies: one colour for meat, another for vegetables. The part then goes back to where it was taken from, because a mix-up is visible to the naked eye.

It is a mid-range value for elastomers: the material is clearly springy, but resistant to being dented by a finger. It can be fitted without tools and does not deform during washing.
How does KP-DG7 differ from the KP-DG71 version?
By the lack of a magnet and a handle. KP-DG71-20 catches metal cutlery, while this item is a plain closure for the opening.
Are all seven colours always available?
