Waste opening guard (grey) KP-DG-4 GREY – how to choose the right one

KP-DG-4 GREY is a scrap hole cover made of grey hardened rubber, the counterpart to the black KP-DG-3. It covers the opening in the worktop and serves the same function, differing only in colour.

Grey makes a visual check easier at the end of a shift. When walking round the stations, it is immediately clear whether the part is back in place, because on a steel worktop it does not blend into the background the way black does.

The choice between versions is a matter of practice, not durability. Some kitchens keep one colour throughout the premises, others use different colours so parts go back to the right place after washing.

Yes, both versions are described as hardened rubber. The pigment does not change the properties of the material, so durability depends on the operating conditions.

Why differentiate the colours of such parts?

For the sake of order in the back-of-house area. When every station has its own colour, parts end up in the right place after washing without checking the symbols.
