Glass-fibre floor heating mat – various models GK-SSR 20W/m2 and 200W/m2 – how to choose the right one
GK-SSR in the 20 and 200 W/m² version is a glass fibre underfloor heating mat with a strip width of 0.5 m, supplied at 230 V. The weaker variant is intended for cold rooms, the stronger one for underfloor heating.
The tenfold difference in output comes from two entirely different jobs. Twenty watts per square metre plays a protective role in a cold room, whereas two hundred watts is already an output intended for heating a space.
The supply lead is five metres, the width of the strip is fixed, and the length is matched to the room – the manufacturer makes mats in other lengths and outputs on enquiry. The GK-CNTR1000 panel and the GK-CNTR1001 controller are provided for control.

The manufacturer assigns them outright: 20 W/m² for cold rooms, 200 W/m² for underfloor heating. These are not interchangeable versions, but two separate jobs.
Can the mat be cut to length?
The data sheet does not provide for this. Instead the manufacturer makes mats in other lengths and outputs on enquiry, so the dimension is given at the time of ordering, not on site.
What is a mat like this controlled with?
The GK-CNTR1001 underfloor heating controller and the panel that works with it are provided for this family. Both items are ordered separately from the mat itself.
