Glass-fibre floor heating mat – various models GK-SSR 30W/m2 and 300W/m2 – how to choose the right one
GK-SSR in the 30 and 300 W/m² version is a glass fibre underfloor heating mat in the more powerful build of the same family. The supply voltage is 230 V, the width of the strip is 0.5 m, and the connecting lead runs to five metres.
Against the 20 and 200 W/m² version the difference amounts to half: fifty per cent more output when protecting a cold room and a hundred watts more per square metre of floor. This version is reached for where the weaker one does not close the calculation.
A higher output per metre changes the load on the installation. At three hundred watts every square metre of floor loads the circuit one and a half times more heavily than in the two-hundred-watt version, which over larger areas has to be taken into account in the design of the supply.

Ask a questionWhen should the 30 and 300 W/m² version be chosen?
The 30 W/m² version is intended for cold rooms and the 300 W/m² version for underfloor heating. Apart from the power per square metre both have the same parameters, and the selection is based on the installation design.
Is the same controller used for both versions?
Yes, the GK-CNTR1001 controller together with the GK-CNTR1000 panel is named for each of them. The difference concerns the mat itself, not the controls.
What is the insulation of the heating cable made of?
Of PVC with high temperature resistance. For a non-standard version the operating conditions are worth confirming when ordering.
