Condensate evaporation tray (270x140x50 mm) KP-RO-870 – how to choose the right one
KP-RO-870 is a 270 × 140 × 50 mm condensate evaporation tray made of white polypropylene, designed to be mounted on the compressor. It uses the condensing unit's waste heat: the water evaporates without a heater, without a power lead and without any additional energy draw, and no electrical components working in damp conditions are added to the condensing unit compartment.
The limitation of this solution is just as simple: evaporation performance depends on how long the condensing unit runs, not on a setting. In a unit with short cycles, or one standing in a cool room, water can build up faster than it evaporates. It also requires a flat surface on the dome and secure mounting – a full tray mustn't shift from vibration.

Ask a questionWill a tray on the compressor cope without a heater?
It depends on how long the condensing unit runs. In freezer units, where the compressor runs almost continuously, the dome's heat is usually enough. In refrigeration units with short cycles, standing in a cool room, it can be different. This is checked by observing the water level over a day of full load – if the level rises, a tray with a heater is needed.
How do you mount the tray so it doesn't shift from vibration?
On a flat section of the dome, or on a bracket resting against the condensing unit's housing, with a fixing that clamps the tray rather than just supporting it from below. A full tank weighs more than a kilogram, and compressor vibration can shift it. The condensate hose has to be run with slack, so that any shift doesn't pull its outlet past the edge.
