KP-BDA is an aluminium condensate evaporation tray measuring 280 × 130 × 72 mm with a capacity of 1.9 l – the largest in this category for a relatively compact shape. The basic version has no heater: it serves as a tank, and the water evaporates using heat from the condensing unit compartment.
A stock of 1.9 l matters in units with long defrost cycles and where servicing is infrequent – the larger the tank, the lower the risk of the tray overflowing between visits and water reaching the floor and the components. If evaporation needs to happen continuously, the body doesn't need to change: KP-BDA-H is the same 280 × 130 × 72 mm shape with a PTC heater fitted.

The factory version with a heater is KP-BDA-H – the same 280 × 130 × 72 mm body with a capacity of 1.9 l, with a PTC heater fitted, available in three versions (PTC1, PTC2, PTC3). Retrofitting the version without a heater requires making and sealing a passage through the tank wall, so it's more reliable to order the ready-made set.
How does the aluminium tray differ from a polypropylene one of similar dimensions?
In thermal conductivity, weight and price. Aluminium picks up heat faster from a heater or a warm component and transfers it to the water faster, so at the same power the water evaporates more efficiently. Plastics are lighter, cheaper and completely corrosion-resistant, which makes them win out where the tray works without a heater or is regularly washed with aggressive chemicals.
