KP-BCPT1N is a polymer condensate evaporation tray measuring 300 × 222 × 36.5 mm with a capacity of 1.65 l, made without the heater opening. It's the same body as KP-BCPT1 – the lowest-profile tank with a capacity over a litre and a half in this category – intended to work purely on passive evaporation.
Choosing the closed version isn't only a matter of price. In every tray, the heater's passage through the tank wall is the point with the highest risk of leaking, because the seal works submerged and through heating cycles. Where there won't be a heater anyway, a single-piece moulding eliminates this failure point and simplifies installation in the condensing unit compartment.

It's not worth it. The opening not only has to be made, but sealed so that it withstands permanent submersion and cyclical heating; in series production this is done in the mould, not with a drill on site. The version with a factory heater passage is KP-BCPT1, with an identical 300 × 222 × 36.5 mm footprint and the same 1.65 l capacity.
How often does a tray without a heater need emptying?
This depends on the condensate build-up in the specific unit, not on the tray model. A practical method: after start-up, check the water level after a day of full load and calculate how many days 1.65 l lasts. If it comes out shorter than the interval between services, condensate needs to be drained away from the unit, or a version with a heater is needed.
