Condensate evaporation tray with a KP-PTC heater (500x70x67 mm) polypropylene – various models KP-BDT-H – how to choose the right one
KP-BDT-H is an elongated polypropylene condensate evaporation tray – 500 × 70 × 67 mm, 1.5 l – with a factory-fitted PTC heater. It combines two features that usually cannot be had at once: an installation width of 70 mm and heater-assisted evaporation, without making a passage through the tank wall on site.
Four versions are available, from KPP-BDT-H-PTC1 to KPP-BDT-H-PTC4 – more than in any other tray in this category. With a base 500 mm long and a narrow cross-section, heat spreads differently than in a compact tank, and polypropylene conducts it more slowly than aluminium, so the power should be matched to the actual condensate output and not to the volume of the tray.

In the heater fitted. The tray is the same in every one of them: polypropylene, 500 × 70 × 67 mm, 1.5 l. The versions correspond to successive KP-PTC heater models and differ in power. When enquiring it is enough to give the heater symbol or the daily amount of condensate the tray is to evaporate in the given appliance.
Does a tray with a heater also have to be levelled?
Yes, and more carefully than the version without one. Over a length of 500 mm a tilt along the axis pushes the water to one end: the heater at the opposite end then works at a low water level, while at the other end the water rises to the 67 mm high rim. The tank is supported along its whole length and the level is checked after filling.
