Profile – PU-C1 + PU-C2 – how to choose the right one
PU-C1 and PU-C2 are a grey set of rigid PVC body profiles, with a chamber for a heating cable. Unlike profiles from the hundred-series families, this cross-section has no slot for a magnetic insert.
This division of tasks makes sense in constructions where the gasket is set into the door leaf, and the body profile is responsible only for heating the frame and separating the two sides. The cross-section is then simpler and assembly faster, since there's no need to check that the magnetic insert sits evenly along its whole length.
The profile also works well where it's not the door's contact line being heated, but a section of the structure exposed to condensation – for example, a bottom beam under a room, or a mullion between two rooms.

The cross-section has no slot for it, so the magnet needs to be planned on the door side, or a profile from the family prepared for the insert should be chosen instead.
What is the channel for if there's no gasket here?
For heating the structural element itself. It heats not only the door's contact line, but also spots on the housing where condensation would otherwise form.
Are PU-C1 and PU-C2 ordered separately?
The catalogue lists them as a set, since the cross-section is made up of both parts. A single symbol is usually ordered only to replace a damaged section.
