Grommet KP-PG10x6 – how to choose the right one
The KP-PG10x6 grommet is a black rubber part fitted to the edge of the hole through which a cable passes. It protects the insulation from chafing on the sheet metal and closes the passage against water.
The sharp edge of the cut-out slices through the insulation slowly and imperceptibly: first through vibration, then with every movement of the installation. The fault appears months later, and the cause is looked for everywhere but in the hole itself.
The smallest size in this group suits thin control and signal cables. The rubber also adapts to the irregularities of the cut-out, which a rigid plastic bush will not do.
