Feed-through (stainless steel) KP-PC-1 – how to choose the right one
The KP-PC-1 grommet is a part made of AISI-304 stainless steel, protecting cables where they pass through the structure. In this category, it's the only solution of this type made of metal.
The choice between metal and rubber comes down to what threatens the passage-through. Rubber grips the cable better and dampens vibration, but loses flexibility with age. Steel doesn't age in this way and withstands contact with tools or trolleys.
Grade AISI-304 matches the specification of the other steel parts in this group. As a result, the passage-through doesn't become a point requiring a different washing regime from the rest of the installation.

Will the grommet dampen vibration like rubber?
No, and that is not its role. The metal protects the insulation from the edge and from impact, while vibration damping remains the domain of flexible elements.
