KP-AC-2582 is a 19 mm diameter roller with a polyamide wheel, a galvanised housing and a ball bearing inside.
A ball bearing changes above all the resistance at start-up. A roller on a plain bush offers the greatest resistance in the first moment, while one with balls starts gently – with a leaf opened hundreds of times a day, everyone on the shift notices it.
This gain lasts as long as no dirt gets into the bearing. Washing with a jet aimed straight at the guide rail is the shortest route to seizing the balls and losing the whole advantage of this design.

How can a seized bearing be recognised?
The wheel stops turning and begins to slide along the rail, leaving a flat spot on the tread. The movement becomes jerky and the resistance rises evenly over the whole travel.
How does it differ from KP-AC-2583?
Both have the same diameter, materials and ball bearing. When replacing, the marking on the old part decides, and the difference in design is worth confirming with an AiFO adviser before ordering.
