Condensate tray (1240x460x20 mm) KP-1240 – how to choose the right one
KP-1240 is a polyethylene condensate pan measuring 1240 × 460 × 20 mm. It is a different kind of solution from a tray: the point is not to collect the water at one spot but to catch it across the full width of the appliance and expose it to evaporation over a surface of close to 0.57 m² – a dozen or so times larger than the base of a typical tray.
With a surface this large the water evaporates quickly even without a heater, but the 20 mm wall height leaves no reserve. The pan must stand level and must not take in water faster than it evaporates. It works where condensate runs off in a thin layer from a large surface; with a concentrated drain from the evaporator a tank with a heater will be more appropriate.

Ask a questionCan the pan be fitted with a heater?
It is not designed for that: it is a polyethylene moulding without a prepared passage for a heater, and the 20 mm wall does not give a column of water in which a heater could work submerged. If evaporation is to be assisted, a model intended for a heater is chosen – for example KP-BCPT2, 41 mm high.
How much water does the pan hold?
Geometrically, with a 1240 × 460 mm footprint and a 20 mm wall, that comes to over 11 l, but it is a theoretical figure. In practice the pan is not filled to the rim – at this height a slight fall in the floor is enough for the water to run out over the side. The real reserve is a layer a few millimetres deep, that is a few litres.
Can a pan be ordered in other dimensions?
Yes. We thermoform non-standard items to the customer's drawing, up to 2 m long – in the catalogue this corresponds to item KP-JDA. A quotation requires a dimensioned drawing, the material specified and the expected batch size, because the cost of the mould is spread over the pieces. The solution therefore makes sense in production, not for a single item.
