Sight glass KP-AC2041 – how to choose the right one
Viewing window KP-AC2041 is an element made of AISI-304 stainless steel with a transparent PMMA plexiglass pane included, intended for doors with a thickness of 40 mm. It allows a view of the interior without opening the door.
Every opening of a cold store door means lost cold and moisture let into the chamber. The viewing window removes the most common reason for opening the door, namely checking whether anything is still left inside.
PMMA instead of glass is a choice made for safety and weight: the plastic does not shatter on impact and puts less load on the leaf. The stated door thickness is a binding value here – it determines whether the set can be fitted at all.

The manufacturer states 40 mm and this is a binding dimension. With a different leaf thickness, the set will not seat in the opening as it should.
Why plexiglass and not glass?
PMMA is lighter and does not shatter on impact. In doors closed dozens of times a day, this matters both for the hinges and for safety.
