Hinge ZK-2955 – how to choose the right one
The ZK-2955 is a cold room hinge without the rising function, with the largest available door offset. Without shims it works in the 78-112 mm range, and with two shims it reaches 152 mm.
The combination of a large offset with no self-closing suits cold rooms handled manually, where the door is opened wide and left during loading. In this scenario, a leaf that swings back to the frame on its own tends to simply get in the way.
The equivalent with the same offset and the rising function is the ZK-2950RV, so the choice between them comes down to how the staff work.

Ask a questionDoes the lack of a rising function affect the tightness of the closed door?
No – gasket compression is provided by the handle together with the keeper, while the hinge is responsible for guiding the leaf. The rising function only changes how the door behaves after it is released.
Will this model handle a 152 mm panel without shims?
The panel thickness range and the offset are two different quantities. Thickness of up to one hundred and fifty-two millimetres is specified for the whole series, while the shims are used to set the leaf offset itself.
