Hinge ZW-525 – how to choose the right one
ZW-525 is a multi-material fitting for doors up to 30 kg: a base in chrome-plated ZnAl5 alloy, a moving element in galvanised steel and a cover in AISI-304 stainless steel. The fixing comprises six Ø5 mm screws.
In service practice ZW-525 and ZW-425 form a pair to choose between in the same load class. Since the parameters are shared, the decision is made on the geometry of the existing structure.
With the heaviest leaves it is worth remembering that the declared value refers to the finished door, not to the frame alone. Checking the actual weight before ordering saves replacing the fitting later.

ZW-154 is entirely of chrome-plated alloy and can be fitted either way round. ZW-425 and ZW-525 have a multi-material construction with a stainless cover – the choice between them is settled by the dimensions.
Will the galvanised moving part not rust?
It sits under a stainless steel cover that protects it from the side exposed to washing. In places permanently flooded with water a fully stainless fitting is the safer choice.
