PTC heaters
PTC heaters are used to evaporate condensate. They are made of high-quality AISI 316 acid-resistant steel. The products can be purchased separately or as a set with a wide range of condensate evaporation trays.

Self-regulating
The main advantage of PTC heaters is that they are self-regulating. The heater adjusts the amount of current it draws according to demand. This intelligent behaviour makes the refrigeration unit in which the heater is installed more energy-efficient – for both the manufacturer and the customer, this is a very important factor in reducing electricity costs.
AISI 316 acid-resistant steel or Incoloy
It has almost the same physical and mechanical properties as AISI 304 steel and a similar material composition. So what really sets AISI 316 stainless steel apart? The basic difference is that 316 stainless steel contains a few percent of molybdenum. The addition of molybdenum (Mo) improves corrosion resistance compared with its 304 stainless steel counterpart. It is simply acid-resistant, which in turn gives the heaters a longer service life.
Certificates and variants
Electric heaters comply with the EN 60335 standard. Depending on the supply voltage, 230 V heaters carry the CE certificate, while the other variant, 110 V, carries the UL certificate. The different heater voltages make it possible to adapt the product to the needs of a given market.
Silicone mats
These heating elements are typically used in self-service counters, where customers serve themselves. Silicone mats consist of a silicone heating section with adhesive tape, placed on a fibreglass mesh. The materials used in production are safe and hold EU certificates. Two variants are available: mats with or without a thermostat. Depending on requirements, we can also customise the power and size of the heating element. Because these products are self-adhesive, installation is much faster than with traditional industrial tubular heaters. In addition, a silicone mat is a much safer alternative to tubular heaters and shortens installation time.

Tubular heaters
Tubular heaters are most often used in the drip tray under the evaporator. These are places where products such as silicone mats cannot be used, and tubular heating elements perform well for this purpose. AiFO manufactures these products to individual customer requirements. The length and power of the heater can be adapted as needed.
Heating cables
These electrical elements can be fitted with an external braid that provides additional mechanical protection and earthing of the cable. Various power ratings from 10 to 60 W/m are available off the shelf. They can also be purchased together with a cable termination kit.
