Condensate evaporators and drip trays

Two main methods are used to force the water to evaporate: using heat from the compressor (a copper discharge pipe carrying hot refrigerant heats the water – an energy-saving solution) or electric PTC heaters, which self-regulate their output to the level and temperature of the water, saving electricity.

Advanced, modified plastics (e.g. polyamides filled with glass fibre) that resist cracking at sub-zero temperatures and stay stable when heated to around 90°C, as well as acid-resistant steel. Trays are available with or without PTC heaters.

It collects the condensate falling from the evaporator before it can soak the goods. The right profile (a slope) means the water flows by gravity into the funnel and drain hose instead of standing under the heat exchanger.
