Soap and disinfectant dispensers and hygiene stations
A dispenser at the entrance to a production area is part of a sanitary procedure, not an addition to the wall, which is why what counts is how it is operated and whether it can be refilled without tools. We choose an elbow-operated or touchless dispenser where washed hands must not touch anything else; the capacity follows the number of people passing through the airlock on a shift. How to choose
The dispenser is chosen for how it is operated and for the traffic at the station
How it is operated decides whether the dispenser does its job at all. One pressed with the hand requires every person in the queue to touch the same surface – at the entrance to a production hall that is a contradiction in itself. The elbow-operated and touchless versions remove the problem.
The capacity translates directly into how often someone has to refill it. At an entrance the whole shift passes through, a small reservoir runs out halfway through the day – and then the procedure exists only on paper.
A hygiene station is a set: dispenser, towel dispenser and bin in one structure, usually free-standing. It works where a hygiene point has to be created without touching the wall – in a rented building, for instance.
